Ben McCulloch

Carpentry Apprentice / Junior Architectural Designer

2017-2020 – First Class BA Honours in Spatial Design Toi Rauwhārangi Massey University
2021-2023 – Carpentry Apprentice at ABC Design Ltd

With a Bachelor’s degree in Spatial Design (Honors) from Toi Rauwhārangi, Massey University, Wellington, I have cultivated a passion for Architecture, Design, and Construction. From this I developed great problem-solving abilities, collaborative skills, and proficiency in the design process. Upon completing my degree, I recognised the need to expand and consolidate my knowledge in the field of construction. Consequently, I embarked on a carpentry apprenticeship to acquire practical skills in this domain. Joining ABC Design in 2021 marked the start of my journey in carpentry. I was thrilled to collaborate with a talented and amiable team on various new construction and renovation projects.

After dedicating more than two years to working hands-on in the field, I became eager to combine my design expertise with my newfound construction proficiency in a professional setting. My tenure at ABC Design has afforded me the opportunity to do just that, enabling me to function both as a builder and continue my learning in the  architectural field. This multifaceted role has been a rewarding experience, allowing me to integrate my diverse skill set to contribute effectively to projects.
